Foot and hand washer dryer

Ensuring proper hand and foot sanitization before cleanroom entry is a fundamental requirement in any life sciences facility. Our Foot & Hand Washing Equipment is engineered to deliver consistent, validated hygiene at every use — combining fully PLC-controlled operations, integrated access control, and real-time activity logging within an intuitive, user-friendly system. The built-in HMI guides operators through each stage of the washing process, ensuring compliance, traceability, and operational confidence.

Sequence of Operation

The equipment follows a structured, automated four-stage cycle:

  • Pre-Wash: Initial rinse to prepare hands and feet for cleaning
  • Detergent Wash: Controlled dosing and scrubbing for thorough sanitization
  • Post-Wash Rinse: Complete removal of detergent residue
  • Drying: Automated blower-assisted drying to complete the cycle

Key Features

The HMI provides operators with real-time visual guidance throughout the entire cycle, clearly displaying the current process stage alongside a log of completed steps. This intuitive, step-by-step interface ensures every operator follows the process accurately, delivering consistent and compliant results with every use.

Process Interlocks

To maintain safety and hygiene standards, the equipment incorporates the following interlocks:

  • Unauthorized entry prevention via integrated access control
  • Low water pumping pressure detection
  • Low detergent tank level alert
  • Detection of hands not positioned correctly inside the wash chamber
  • Detection of operator not standing inside the foot wash chamber
  • Gate remains locked until the wash cycle is fully completed
  • Continuous gate position monitoring throughout the cycle

User-Settable Parameters

Operators can individually configure the following time settings to suit facility requirements:

  • Water washing duration
  • Detergent dosing time
  • Drying blowers duration
  • Heaters ON/OFF timing

Automatic Cycle Abort

If the operator's hands or feet are not in the correct position at any point during the wash cycle, the system automatically aborts the cycle. This safety feature ensures that incomplete or improper sanitization is never recorded as a completed cycle, maintaining the highest standards of hygiene compliance.

Material of Construction

The equipment is constructed with an SS 304 stainless steel structure and side covers, ensuring durability, corrosion resistance, and full compatibility with cleanroom environments.

Personnel Entry Records

All personnel entry events through the equipment are automatically logged and stored, providing a complete and auditable trail for regulatory compliance and facility management.

Ease of Maintenance

Equipment spares are standardized, readily available in the market, and easily replaceable — minimizing downtime and ensuring uninterrupted facility operations.
